Over the years, we have discovered quite a demand for sausage sticks. But, requests were for something different and definitely a product that, like our beef jerky, was free of preservatives and artificial additives. Well, we have done much research on this subject. After trying numerous samples from other companies, I decided to give sausage making a try. Heck, I became a jerky expert and have been around sausage making facilities for years. So, why couldn't I create my own sausage snack sticks? Well, the good news is that I have! Three flavors that totally complement our incredible jerky recipes. But, with that sausage flavor and tang. The bad news is that we must use Sodium Nitrite in those sticks. The reasons are, that we not only want these sticks to be shelf stable (no refrigeration), but the sausage production process brings up several safety issues that can only be alleviated by using Nitrites. But, rest assured that we use the absolute minimum and without any other additives that the other companies pour into their products. Understand that flavor is our legacy but, safety is our number one concern and the reason for the trade off. Thus, within a short time we will be offering these snack sticks that will impress all.
